We aim to reply to York enquiries the same day, and most jobs can be scheduled within a week or two. If it is urgent, say so and we will try to fit you in sooner.

Do I need planning permission for a marquee?

Usually not. In England, the temporary use of land for an event for up to 28 days a year is normally allowed without planning permission, and marquees for one-off events are rarely an issue. Venues that keep a marquee up for a season, listed buildings and conservation areas can be different, so check with your council if the marquee will stay up for a long period.
